Nikhil Powar is a renewable energy professional with extensive experience in biomass value-chain development, feedstock management, biomass densification, and sustainable supply-chain operations. As Head – Densification & Material Management at Altanova Bioenergie, he leads the development of scalable biomass processing and material management systems that support the company’s clean energy and decarbonization initiatives.

With a strong background in biomass sourcing, pellet manufacturing, compressed biogas (CBG) feedstock management, and agricultural residue utilization, Nikhil plays a critical role in transforming underutilized biomass resources into high-value renewable energy products. His expertise spans feedstock aggregation, densification technologies, logistics optimization, quality management, and commercial strategy.

Over the course of his career, Nikhil has worked closely with farmers, aggregators, industrial consumers, technology providers, and project developers to establish reliable biomass supply chains. His ability to integrate operational excellence with commercial and sustainability objectives has enabled the successful execution of large-scale biomass procurement and processing programs across multiple regions.

At Altanova Bioenergie, Nikhil is responsible for driving the company’s biomass densification initiatives, including biomass pellets, biochar, and other value-added biomass products. He is actively involved in developing long-term feedstock security strategies, strengthening rural biomass ecosystems, and implementing efficient material management practices that ensure consistent quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
